About the program
Forsbergs Graphic Design / Advertising is a two year higher vocational program for aspiring graphic designers, digital designers and art directors. The program provides a professional training that leads directly to the creative profession. We put focus on innovation in graphic design, digital design, advertising and communication. Characterized by ‘learning by doing’ we put particular emphasis on creating ideas and developing your own creative ability, To date, approximately 97% of our graduates work in the industry within a year after graduation. The program is eligible for study aid through CSN.se.
The program lasts four semesters, a total of 100 weeks. Regular class hours are daytime Monday-Friday. However, some classes may be scheduled in evenings and on weekends. The school is open around the clock for your own work. The training consist of lectures, workshops, tutorials and presentations of the various projects, individual work and group work.
Graphic Design / Advertising: Creative thinking, brainstorming and process work, typography, design history, layout applications, advertising campaigns, commercials, communications, and design of printed matter. Innovative and experimental marketing and event design. Relevant software, moving image and web design. Visits to advertising and design agencies. Presentation skills, vocational guidance and industry knowledge. A minimum of 20 weeks of professional practical training is included.

The tuition fee is SEK 260,000 SEK. The education is exempt from VAT (value-added tax). The program requires that you have access to your own laptop. Financing the tuition fee is possible for Swedish residents through tuition loans from CSN (Swedish Financial Aid for Studies). All students receive a diploma after completing the education.
The application is done by filling out the online application form and submitting your portfolio with work samples. The work sample assignments can be found below.
Selection is based on a review of the assignments and an interview. Accomplished distance learning course or night course in graphic design at Forsbergs, or similar course, is a merit.
